Zane Heninger
IN MEMORIAM
AI Capital was co-founded in 2016 by MIT alumni Neville Teagarden and Josh Sutton, along with Zane Heninger, an alumnus of Utah State University. In 1999 Zane earned his MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Prior to AI Capital, Mr. Heninger was responsible for all investments made by Booth Creek Management, a Colorado single family office. Previous to Booth Creek, he was an investment banker in New York, Miami, and Dallas with Goldman, Sachs & Co. and then in Denver with Lehman Brothers.
“Zaner” as he was often called, passed suddenly in the summer of 2019.
AI Capital was his swan song. His kind spirit, generous heart, exceptional wit, and wry sense of humor is a guiding light for our firm.
“It's all about intellectual capital, and brand, and speed, and using your brains and innovating. Even though I'm really quite down on American capitalism as being a little fat and happy past its prime, I am very long on American venture capital. It's the really vital part of the capitalist model, and American venture capital was always the dominant one in the world—and it still is.”
- Jeremy Grantham, British Investor
